Menu not properly functioning after patching

After I patched to get the latest version, I opened the gmod updater again and after it was done I launched gmod. When gmod launched I was greeted with a black ground and the usual options in the main menu but when I try to click on options it doesn't open when I try to open the console still no luck
I tried a lua menu fix but to no avail. Would really appreciate someone helping me out here.

btw forgot to mention that maps work fine and when i apply the lua menu fix the menu options are gone and all i see is a black screen seems to be that the menu is the only issue

try Uninstall The Game ( Dont Remove The Addons ) Then Install it again
if it Dosen't Work.. and Got an Steam user Error Try Out This Tutorial I made.

appreciate your input mate seems to be that revemu doesn't really work with the newer ver. but i managed to sort out the mess by just downgrading my dedicated server but thanks anyways
