so i made a private server and when my friend join it a message appear to him that say *authenticating with steam*
and the message is stuck there
does anyone know how to fix it ?

hi i have a problem with this it says can't patch garry's_mod.exe please help i rebooted pc turned off ani-virus and steam i re-instal didn't work i updated didn't work PLEASE help me. thank you

You can try reinstall game and then do not run updater (on last installation step turn off "Update..."). In this way can play only single player (cannot connect to servers).
